A link worthy of a post all its own:
Steve Wang's myspace blog singlehandedly redeems myspace for everything it is. I think I've linked everybody to this in the past, but it's worth looking at again if only for Predator and the Tooth Fairy and the Blizzcon sculpture. Some -cool- stuff here, especially from the middle of the page down. <3
He was 21 when he designed, created, and built Predator. Time to go kill ourselves.

Random links
Plain old anatomy
Another artblog, looks pretty rad
Something I was linked to a while back, I love the style <3
Cil and I saw this woman at SDCC last year. It was cool. Er, I'm assuming it's a woman
I was looking for pdfs of Bridgeman's books cuz I'm too lazy to go up to work on a Saturday and use the copy on my desk. :(

Sahin Ersoz

http://www.ersoz.com/storyboard/storyboard_main.htm
This guy not only draws fantastically, but knows how to act and use cinematography.
Seriously, just watching his sequence of hellboy storyboards is practically as good as watching the final version.

More stuffs

Another Eatpoo activity. This time I had to make something up about weasels, the moon, and corsets.
Do you want to hate yourself and then get a burning vigor to become better with a mixed reaction of revenge and spite? Then check out Charlie Wen's concept art for God of War 2.
Also check out the DAVE GUERTIN AND GREG BALDWIN INTERVIEW at the Character Design blog. Dave is some sort of awesome shape mastermind.
Since we haven't had any bad sketches yet..

PEER PRESSURE
FIRST POST (actually no, second post) THAT INVOLVES ARTS (auds and mike made me do it)
Also, I love capslock. <3 I'm also nice enough to post some relatively recent stuff rather than like, ancient stuff... XD I haven't coloured anything in ages though, but I need the practice. Anyway, here's some black and white instead...!

Something pretty~
So a coworker just linked me to a trailer for the Golden Compass, and it looks neat and different. The cityscapes (and design in general) are beautiful. <3
Has anybody ever read the books this is based on? I've never heard of it, but I'm a fan of zeppelins and prophecies and alternate universes. Here's a link to the big high res trailer that'll be good for about a week.
For anybody who doesn't want to download fifty megs, there's a small trailer on the official site.

Zbrush 3
Zbrush 3 demo
So it's like a whole fucking hour long - but it's still really awesome, and a cool sculpture demo even without knowing the software. Looks like Zbrush made some massive improvements to the 3d parts of their program (but I haven't read the spec list)

Twinkle Twinkle Little

All right, these aren't sketches and they aren't recent, but please enjoy. This was from the existing character in an existing style assignment in character design.
POP EXPERIMENT - I'm sure y'all have seen this site before, but I have gained so much inspiration from it that I feel it is a good source of new art to post.
Dead babies in clown suits
http://ww3.osf.co.uk - looks like a great library for animation reference, since most of the previews don't have watermarks and are full length. National Geographic type stuff, anyhow
www.sandara.net - a pretty cool gallery
Essentials of Anatomy - a giant collection of human anatomy reference. I'm pretty sure it was Mike who linked me to this originally, but might as well preserve it here for posterity..
