Well, I'm a total wuss and didn't go out in the rain today, but I did manage to make something kinda nifty. This was for a conceptart.org activity, but didn't make it finished enough on time. Anyway, thanks for inviting me to the blog, everyone, and here's my first post.
Chelsea and I will be going getting on the 545 into Seattle this coming Sunday; and in lieu of figure drawing, we will be drawing environments. Please join us! I think we'll be heading out at around 9 in the morning.
HUGE HEADbut I cut it off at half an hour so there. XD If I wasn't so lazy I'd go back and fix the shoulders, since her upper arms need to be longer anyway. An old character and a response to the prompt "having fun."
Takin' a crack at werewolf designs! Awoo~ I drew the top one first with a general idea of what I wanted, but the shape and weight still wasn't right... Then the second one I decided to slim down and make it look 'normal' so I knew which features to exaggerate later. Finally the pencil sketches (done in class XD) come close to what I wanted. :D
Belgian Blue Beef are famous for their "double muscling" due to a gene that suppresses the production of Myostatin. Myostatin is a protein that normally inhibits muscle growth after a certain point of development. Pure Belgian Blue carry two copies of the gene. Scientists have already inhibited the Myostatin Gene in mice and are working on blocking the gene in humans in order to treat muscle wasting diseases.
